The Swastika Beauty

The word swastika is derived from the Sanskrit word svastika, meaning any lucky or auspicious object, and in particular a mark made on persons and things to denote good luck. Swastika is probably the oldest type of motif used for batik. Swastika also known as Banji in Yogyakarta and Surakarta (Solo), and Angkin for some place in west java.
In this series, we experimented for something more simple, elegant but still sophisticated.
so we collaborate on some basic pleats and drapery techniques in batik with our custom made swastika motif.
